Thunder Bay - Family, Friends, and Funeral

Flew to Winnipeg to meet my mom at the airport.  Had an enjoyable, relaxing layover and was happy to see my mom arrive in time to catch the next flight to Thunder Bay!
We spent our first night lounging and visting with Aunt Bonnie in her beautiful basement until well after midnight.  The next day, my mom had a craving for Kangas Sauna salt fish sandwiches! So off we went! Yum!!!

Hadn't been here since I was a kid, but, from what I remember, much of it was just the same.  So happy we went to eat and reminisce!

Drove out to Donna and Charlie's house in Kaministiquia! Uncle Crazy was there too! It was an evening filled with amzing food, company and conversation!  At the end of the night, I found this cozy room conveniently waiting for me to curl up int! (Thanks Donna and Charlie!)

A view out their window... That's the Kia Soul I rented for the week.

Their living room is so inviting.  It almost feels like home!

Had to take a photo of this beautiful Seagull guitar sittin' in the corner!

Their barn and sauna

Donna and Charlie's comfy country home! Thanks for the amazing hospitality you two!
Charlie and Jackson (the very cool dog) before they drove down to the bridge while I followed.  Wouldn't have been easy finding my way back without them...

The amazing shower stall in Bonnie's guest bathroom!

Some of Grandma NaNa's belongings...

Mom was spoiled while staying in Bonnie's upstairs guest room. She had french doors leading onto the deck and
a fireplace that turned on with the click of a remote!

Bonnie and B!

Joann had us over for lunch. She let me use her computer to communicate and do a little research. Jo played piano, while she and my mom sang harmony together. It sounded beautiful!

Met up with Amanda and Heather at Andy's apartment. So great to see them all!

Heather drove Amanda and me to Tara & Gord's gorgeous house. They covered their coffee table with scrumptious goodies, which we snacked on while visiting!

This coffee maker greeted me every morning in Aunt Bonnie's kitchen! Mmmmm, which flavour to choose...

Monica, Lilli, and Chloe arrived! Bonnie definitely had a full house!

I did my mom's make-up before she went out one night!

Doesn't she look beautiful?!

A special thanks to Mike for the time and effort you put in on planning Chelsea and my flights so they would connect and also for the beautiful pamphlet you worked on about my mother. It received many rave reviews!
    Love Mom-Bernadette
