| My mom arrived in Whitehorse for the first time on Sunday, August 7th, 2011! |

| I couldn't believe that she was actually standing in my home, |

| hugging and... |

| goofin' around with my hubby! |

| She was also able to visit with Jay and Josh... |
 |
| for a couple days before they left for the Western Canada Summer Games in Kamloops! |

| We got mom into the hot tub, |

| which was a great idea! |
 |
| On August 14th, I woke up to balloons! Mom had decorated for my birthday! |
 |
| Josh and Jay returned that evening, and we had a relaxing Boston Pizza dinner at home while the kids filled us in on all the details of their WCG adventures! |

| It's amazing that so much time can pass by, and we can still finger pick in unison! (We had a little more difficulty with the high five.) |

| Deja and Mom posing, minutes before it began to drizzle, rain, and then down pour on us! I ended up running with Deja while pushing Mom along the paved trail, and then through a gravelled short-cut in order to make it to the car a little more quickly! We were drenched. Luckily, we could blast the heat as soon as we made it into the car. I also have to praise Deja for being such an amazing dog! I left her outside in the rain attached to the wheelchair, while I started the car, got the heat going, and cleaned off my glasses so I could see. She waited patiently instead of tearing off after a squirrel into the woods pulling a wheelchair! What a good dog! |
