Josh's Pre-Birthday Get-Together!

Josh is turning 17 on Sunday, May 8th!  However, he is in Edmonton for a swim meet on his birthday.  So, we had a family gathering to celebrate his birthday a little early! Some watched the hockey game, others played and watched video games.  The girls dressed and primped some barbies. Afterwards, they skipped outside on the deck (now that it's finally clear of snow!). We ate a spaghetti dinner, with salad and garlic toast, and had Josh's birthday cheesecake for dessert!  We all gathered together in the living room while Josh opened a few gifts.  It was a great way to spend a Tuesday evening!

Josh opened a few gifts and envelopes. A hoodie from the Maguires!
The lil' kids didn't want to go home, but it was a school night!  We wished Josh loads of luck and fun, and hope he enjoys a little extra independence on this trip!

Farewell Vivian!

Some of the former ESL students arranged a get-together so we could visit and wish Vivian farewell before she departed for China and Taiwan!
