| We built half a shelter over the firepit... |

| and a roof for our well using wood we found around the property. |

| We pulled out all of the flattened raspberry bushes and fireweed (both of which can have incredibly strong roots!). |

| We moved one of the garden beds to the entrance, put it under the sign, and filled it with soil. Then we did some FireSmarting: clearing out brush, pinecones, and dead trees and branches. |
