Happy Easter!

We had a very relaxing Easter Day!  We slept in.  Jay went outside onto the deck.

She read in the sun while Deja kept her company.

Josh and Jay followed a trail of chicks...

...down the stairs to...

...larger pomp-pomp chicks.

Then they opened the door and found their Easter baskets!

We ate breakfast together, and Judy and Chester came by for tea and coffee. Afterwards, Mike and Jay went grocery shopping and prepared for BBQing, while I went on a long walk with Deja and talked to family and friends on the phone!  It was a beautiful, sunny Easter Sunday! It made cleaning up Deja's mess in the yard a little more enjoyable.

It was a pretty intense game.  The bad guys won!

A delicious meal cheered us up!

So did the dessert Mike and Jay made!  After dinner, Mike, Judy and Chester soaked in the hot tub, while Jay and I watched a movie she taped.  Josh vegged out on the computer.  We all watched the end of the movie together and then wished Judy and Chester Happy Easter before they left for home!  We love holidays!

It took so long for Chester to read through all of his birthday wishes, that the kids fell asleep! Sweet Dreams!

It's Spring!

 When Mike first handed me these daffodils, I thought he was giving me a bouquet of asparagus.  However, they started blooming the next day.  Spring is here!

Mike and I decided to make homemade pizza!

We made and baked the dough, and then decorated it with a variety of colourful foods!

One pizza was Mexican! We used a salsa and tomato sauce mixture. YUM!

The other was a classic!  We enjoyed dinner, and left-overs the next day!

We also baked bread.  Fresh bread and homemade jam with coffee for breakfast - It doesn't get much better than this!

When the kids came home, we made pizza with them!
